Debbie Senesky
Associate Professor & Entrepreneur
Debbie G. Senesky is an Associate Professor at Stanford University's School of Engineering. Her work is centered on training the next-generation scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs. In particular, her research and workforce development efforts include advancements in nanomaterials and microelectronics for emerging aerospace and energy applications. She is co-founder of Bay Area aerospace start-up, Astral Materials. In recognition of her research, she received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) in 2025.
She resides in Oakland, California with her husband (entrepreneur) and daughter (avid equestrian). She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and University of California at Berkeley.
