Dale Schroedel
Representation Matters, Co-Founder
Dale Schroedel has spent most of her professional life committed to issues related to gender, racial, and economic justice. In 2020, she co-founded Representation Matters, an effort to address systemic and institutional racism and change the face of power by supporting Black women, Native women, and women of color running for elected office. Since 2008, she has been a political organizer and fundraiser focused on electing more women. She has worked on multiple federal, state and local campaigns. Prior to her involvement in electoral politics, Dale was a private investigator for 18 years with a specialty in employment discrimination and criminal defense investigations. She also formerly served as Executive Director of the National Women and the Law Association, and in her first career was a psychiatric nurse.
Dale has a B.S. in Nursing (Hunter College, NY), an M.S. in Psychiatric Nursing (New York University), a J.D. (Cardozo School of Law), and is a Licensed Private Investigator in the state of California. She currently serves on the board of Emerge Action Fund, and the Emerge Adivsory Board, and is Board Chair Emerita of Equal Rights Advocates.
